Trips to
Santa Catalina
Island are
also available.
Hiking
snorkeling, fishing, kayaking or just lounging on the
Bueno
will provide a great setting for inner
reflection and inspiration.
Catalina
is a natural paradise, you can
snorkel or dive the underwater preserve, fish the kelp
forests or picnic on a secluded beach.
It is common
to encounter deer, bald
eagles, fox, and bison on a day hike.
The
island is especially beautiful in the spring when the
hills are painted with wild flowers.
These trips require a dock side meeting
on the day prior to setting sail. Topics of discussion
include destinations, length of charter, activities, and
provisions. Would you like to take in the nightlife
at Avalon,
on the next day take an
inland motor tour, or a ride the famous glass bottom boat.
Set sail for Emerald Bay on the following day where you
will bask in the quiet solitude and submerse yourself in
the emerald green waters that the bay is named
for.
Of course you’re welcome to sleep aboard the
Bueno
or slip ashore and enjoy
hotel accommodations. Camping on the island is also very
popular, there are a variety of campsites ranging from
primitive to tent cabins with bunk
beds. After a
leisurely breakfast at the Isthmus take a relaxing swim,
a stroll on a secluded beach or explore the island on one
of the many well marked hiking trails. Begin your hike on the east side,
and the Bueno
will
be waiting for you on the west side at a predetermined
time and location.
Our Catalina
Island Tours
are an excellent opportunity to truly
experience sailing. Learn the different techniques of
anchoring properly and safely; the fine art of picking up
a mooring ball with a boat hook and walking the spreader
line astern. This is also a great opportunity to
gain experience with a competent skipper aboard and to
find out if you would enjoy owning a boat of your own
someday.

Captain Steve will customize a charter especially for you and will be more
than
happy to discuss all the different Catalina Island
activities available to
you.
